Victoria Eady Butler,
Master Blender for Uncle Nearest Premium Whiskey
The great-great-granddaughter of Nearest Green, the first African American master distiller on record. In 2021, Victoria was named Master Blender of the Year three times, by Whisky Magazine, Vine Pair and The Spirits Business, followed by a second award by Whisky Magazine in 2022. She is the first person in history to receive this honor two years in a row.
She’s also a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated.
Rickey Jones
QB
Rickey led the Hornets to an 11-0-1 record and claiming the SWAC & Black College National Championships. The team went undefeated in 20 consecutive games, which made them the most dominant team in school history
